Adrien Lothaire
Background: The illegitimate son of an Ishgardian lord and Gridanian Duskwight. He was raised as a knight in House Dzemael but started to butt heads with the family and act out once his father passed away. One night after being caught stealing a lord’s fine wines by some of the younger house members, they decided to take matters into their own hands and punish him by throwing him into Dzemael darkhold to think about what he’d done for a few hours. Hours turned to days as Adrien wandered too far in getting hopelessly lost, so they panicked and made up a story about how Adrien left the family on his own. These events would end up reshaping Adrien’s life for the better. While lost in the darkhold, he fought with Voidsent that emerged from a portal to the Thirteenth reflection. Bruised and freshly scarred on the face, he eventually escaped just barely and spent the next few days wandering around Coerthas feeling unsure of what to do next. One night, as he was staring into his bonfire, he decided to give up the Dzemael family name, reclaim his Duskwight name Lothaire and start a new life as an adventurer.Character origins: Adrien was my Hunter Void Elf (Adrien @ Argent Dawn EU) I played in WoW but I migrated him to FFXIV.Random fact: He is slightly void-touched from his time in the darkhold and as a result keeps attracting small voidsent who love to follow him around. He is in denial about this and chooses to ignore them (which is hard when they literally perch on him and lick his hair...)
Kaito Katagawa
Background: A wandering Miqo'te who left his Keeper tribe due to being one of the few potential Nuhns and preferring the life of an adventuring Tia. He ended up in Kugane where he started a new life. Kaito picked his new name and surname Katagawa to help feel integrated into Doman society. He ignored Hydaelyn's first few attempts to bring him into the adventurer scene until he finally relented, having spent most of his money on snacks and needing a new source of income.Character origins: Kaito (@KaitoKatagawa) is a body double OC I made based off the character Katagawa Jr. from Borderlands 3.Random fact: This cat loves snacks. The best day of his life was when he found the giant snack area in the pixie dream land and his ultimate retirement dream is to set up a candy store.
